Maurice Goldsmith died on Saturday 21st June 2008. Maurice was Editor of the Australasian Journal of Philosophy from 2002 to late 2007, during which time he was a member of AAP Council. The keynote speakers were Eleonore Stump, the Robert J. Henle Professor of Philosophy, St Louis University and William (Bill) Lycan, William Rand Kenan Professor, University of North Carolina.
